Finding the first words for a blog isn’t all that easy.
Not because I’m short on topics – quite the opposite.
I’m sitting here with a long list of possible categories:
systemic counseling, science, relationships, health, space exploration, family life, change…
And the longer I look at it, the bigger the question becomes:
Which of these belong here?
What do I want to show?
And what might be too much?
It’s a strange balancing act:
On one side, there’s a deep curiosity and joy in variety – in everything that makes life colorful and rich.
On the other side, there’s a quiet worry:
Will this confuse people? Will it overwhelm them?
I don’t want to just throw everything into the room all at once –
I want to create space where something can unfold. Step by step.
More than once, others – and I myself – have wondered:
Shouldn’t I make a choice?
Should I narrow it down, simplify, define who I am and what I do –
Counselor. Researcher. Analog Astronaut. Author. Mother. Podcaster. Translator. Lecturer. Partner. Friend. Daughter. Woman. Human.
Labels that might make it easier for others, but often feel limiting to me.
And I’m grateful that, for quite some time now, I’ve clearly felt:
That’s not what I want.
My path has never been straight.
It’s been a journey of trying, exploring, feeling my way forward with curiosity.
After all – I’m living this life for the first time.
I’ve learned that “both” often suits me better than “either or.”
That I don’t have to conquer variety or reduce complexity to be clear.
That sometimes, it takes real courage to turn off before reaching the goal, to let go of things, and to stay imperfect, contradictory, and different.
This blog will reflect exactly that:
Not perfect structure, but movement.
Not just answers, but questions.
Thoughts, impulses, occasional detours – always carried by curiosity and the joy of growth.
Maybe you’ve felt something similar.
Maybe you’ll find reflections here that give you courage not to hide your own multiplicity.
I’d love for you to walk with me – or simply read along for a while.
So glad you’re here. 💛
